Where is Goodmayes test centre?
The centre sits in the Goodmayes and Seven Kings part of Ilford, close to the A12 Eastern Avenue and the busy roads around Ilford town centre. It covers a wide stretch of the IG postcodes and the eastern E postcodes.
What are the test routes like?
Examiners use a mix of fast main roads and tight residential streets. You can expect busy multi lane junctions, the kind of large roundabouts found around Gants Hill, the Ilford one way system, plenty of parked-car-lined side roads for the manoeuvres, and high street traffic with buses and cyclists. The DVSA no longer publishes official route lists, but our local instructors know the roads examiners favour and will make sure you have driven them well before test day.
